"The Village is a real community; it is our home, and we ask our guests to observe our traditions and livity (way of life) while in the Village. Some of these ways are quite different from mainstream society, and not everybody will be comfortable with them. In order to ensure the most positive experience for both visitors and the Village, we request potential visitors review and make sure they are comfortable with the following points, before you making travel plans:
No alcohol or animal food products are served at the Village.
Rastafari culture is family oriented; it emphasizes modesty and discretion in the public display of
affection. This is true regardless of gender or orientation.
Ganja is smoked freely anywhere at any time in the Village, but tobacco is not.
Our newly constructed cabins are made largely of flammable materials. We cannot afford to lose
them, so we please ask you not to light candles or smoke anything inside them.
The Village is a mostly natural environment. Visitors should expect some level of insects to be
present, including mosquitos. Evenings can be loud with the sounds of crickets and frogs, and
lizards occasionally scamper across floors and walls.
In order preserve the sounds of nature, and the Nyabinghi drumming and chanting that are a
major feature of life at the Village, we request guests to use headphones to listen to their own
devices.
Jamaican traffic can be crowded, and roads often have deep ruts and potholes. Guests should
expect a bumpy ride into the Village.
The pathways and walkways inside the Village itself are mostly smooth and level, but the
pathway from the Village to the river is rocky, and can be challenging to navigate for people with
mobility issues.
The Village is a continuous work in progress. Some features are newly constructed; some have been here for years and reflect that seasoning. Guests should expect to see some unfinished
work and ongoing improvements."

"The Rastafarian Village is one of the most magical places that I have ever visited. If you are looking for a place to reconnect to find yourself this is the place for you.
The rooms at the rastafarian village were very clean and spacious with an amazing spacious bathroom. You can tell the handmaid craftsmanship and the attention to detail that was given considered every room is unique in his own fashion. Each day at the village felt like a new beginning. I got to know my friends and family members more and more each day. It's not often that you can say that people you just meet are family members, But when you visit the village you will feel the exact same way that I did like you are with family. Oh and did I mention the amazing cuisine and shakes.
5 stars hats off to the chef and to whom ever designed the menu during our stay. I can't wait for another opportunity to visit the village to spend time with my new family and friends."

"The Rasta Village was a positive and valuable experience for me. The food was life changing. Most of what we ate was grown in the jungle-like environment our hosts call home. How they got the plant-based food to taste so good is a mystery to me but I've endeavored daily to hold onto as much of their culinary culture as my non jungle habitat allows. I've completely stopped using my microwave and now cook almost everything in a well olive oiled wok and coconut milk. The pristine waterfall was magnetic and warm, but the greater warmth was provided from Firstman and his family of angels tending to our mental, physical and spiritual needs with adventurous sustenance served in love. Thank you, I'll be back."

"What a way to experience Ayahuasca than at The Rastafarian Indigenous Village. The energy and love from Firstman and Queen I was so refreshing and familiar. The whole village made us feel at home and like extended family. There are not enough stars to rate my experience, but it was definitely 5 star worthy. I can't wait until the next retreat."

"My husband and I had an amazing visit to the Rastafari Indigenous Village. It was very informative about the culture and history of the Rastafarian. The guides are very welcoming and I felt an air of peace. The walk in was quite beautiful and the river water refreshing. We were served fruit and chocolate tea; loved the chocolate tea. I would highly recommend this tour to any visitors. It is a must see!"

"We visited in July 2022. This place and all the people there are absolutely amazing. From the moment Firstman picked us up from my father in law's house, I felt comfortable and at home. These people have create an amazing space to protect, preserve and promote their culture. We learned about healing herbs and potions, Rastafarian philosophy. It wasn't cheap, but I can honestly say it was money well spent.
I lost my phone in the car on the way back and only realized later. They'd found it and made another long trip back to return it to me without any hesitation. I will never forget about this place and these amazing people."
